For the seasoning on the beef I used montreal steak spice and chili molido, browned in a skillet while sauteing diced onions, cubed potatoes, seasoned with salt and pepper.
Green Chile Stew
Makes 4 Servings
grease your stew pot to brown the stew meat*, saute the onion and potatoes.
1 yellow onion, diced
2 russet potatoes, washed / peeled / diced
4 cloves garlic minced
1 lb Cubed Stewing Protein of your choice
seasonings like steak spice for the stew beef, salt and pepper
1 Pouch Frontera Green Chile Guacamole Mix
1L Broth
1/2 can Diced Tomatoes
1 tbsp flour + 2 tbsp water, shaken, to thicken the stew
Here’s how I cooked my Beef Green Chile Stew: Brown beef, saute onion, potato until onion is clear. Add garlic and green chile pouch, stir. Add broth and tomatoes. Boil, reduce heat simmer until stew is cooked and tender. Mix some flour and enough water to cover in mason jar, screw on the lid and shake until blended. Add to simmering pot of stew, stir. Let simmer another few minutes to thicken.
Serve with warm, buttered tortilla.
